Pokemon Go is one of the best Augmented Reality based games available right now. It is developed by Niantic, the same company that brought us the likes of Ingress Prime and Harry Potter: Wizards Unite.

The game encourages players to wander out in the real world to catch Pokemon using their smartphone’s camera.

It makes use of the phone’s GPS to detect where the players are and make the Pokemon appear accordingly.

The game was released back in 2016 and is enjoyed by millions worldwide. It is frequently updated with new content and events, which sometimes leads to bugs and glitches.

Having said that, Pokemon Go players are reporting an issue that causes a visual glitch whenever trainers encounter a Galar region Pokemon in the wild.

The majority of players are saying that the Galar Region Pokemon that spawns is really small. When they try to catch them, the screen then glitches and causes weird artifacts to appear.

I don’t know why, but after the new update it seems like all the new Galar Pokémon are small and when you click on them you can’t catch them. Any ideas of what’s happening or is anyone else experiencing this issue? Small Pokémon glitch

I have the new galar Pokémon spawning around me, however they’re incredibly small. Then when I tap to catch them my screen shifts as if I’m down on the Pokémon’s level looking in front of it. I can’t move the screen or exit this glitch without closing the app. Does anyone know how to fix this?

The only way to fix the issue is to restart the game since the issue causes it to freeze.

Since then, Niantic has acknowledged the issue and said they are working on a fix. However, they did not share an ETA.

In the meantime, the developers have shared a workaround that involves refreshing the game data from the Advanced Settings.

We hope Niantic fixes the Pokemon Go Galar Region Pokemon visual glitch as soon as possible so players can resume playing the game normally.
