Some Need for Speed (NFS) Unbound players disappointed after Mustang gets dropped in Vol. 4, say it's due to 'FOMO'

Some Need for Speed (NFS) Unbound players are disheartened to learn that the Ford Mustang GT Legendary Custom Pack has been dropped in Volume 4.

Criterion Games recently released the Volume 4 update for NFS Unbound, which introduces bug fixes, tweaks, and quality-of-life improvements.

For instance, the patch addressed the bugs where Waru’s Racer in Trouble and A$AP Rocky’s vehicle delivery missions would not occur. It also fixed the glitch where cops would stop interacting with the player after participation.

After the latest update, players can also quickly route to Linkups, and place about 1,000 decals on livery wraps.

However, some (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) are unhappy as the Ford Mustang GT Legendary Custom Pack is no longer available to purchase.

It’s noteworthy that the pack is unavailable on both the PlayStation and Xbox stores. Gamers believe that this is a tactical maneuver by the developers to generate a fear of missing out (FOMO) dynamic.

By doing so, they can successfully entice players to make hasty purchases.

And understandably, the company’s move to instill a sense of urgency around purchasing paid body kits has sparked criticism and debate among the gaming community.

Individuals also allege that the DLC custom car packs disappear from both inventory and garage after installing the Volume 4 update.

Notably, they are able to redownload the Evo, GTI, and Volvo custom packs, but cannot retrieve the Mustang Legendary custom packs.

I was planning to buy unbound as I was getting my ps5 next month but they removed the legendary Ford mustang pack.

People are speculating that they now have a limited time to buy the Lotus Exige S and Mazda Robo body kits.

They are also saddened to learn that the developers frequently remove in-game content without any prior notice. A few are anticipating that the same thing will happen with the paid cars that will come in the Vol. 5 update.
