Google keeps updating the appearance of their applications from time to time. As an Android user, you might have witnessed many design overhauls over the years. They do the same for Play Store too.

In case you closely follow tech news, you might have heard of Google coming with a materialistic design for Play Store. A few people have caught hold of the new look by sideloading APK version 15.1.24 a couple of months back. And, Google reinstated the appearance through server-side update.

As we speak, the tech giant is rolling out the update back to the devices. You can check your phone now. Most probably, a refreshed look is what you are going to see. In case Play Store looks exactly the same as before on your phone, you can try sideloading version 16.2.25 from APKMirror.

You can clearly view that the theme solely depends on the colour white. The menu bar on the bottom is missing the Music category. The accent colour of Apps and Games is exactly the same, though.

Still, dark mode is nowhere to be found. We may see it sneaking into the application with Android Q. Some Pixel beta users reported to have received the dark mode. Maybe, they forced the setting from Developer Options.

Twitter is crowded with the posts pertaining to the new Play Store design overhaul. Looking at the reactions, almost 90 percent of the users are satisfied with the change. There exist a few with disappointment not to have dark mode, but plenty of white spaces.

As the ‘I got new Play Store update’ posts rush in, many raised concerns not to have received the update. In case you are one of them, you have to wait. Unlike any other app, it is impossible for us to manually search and update Play Store.

Sideloading APK is a way you can try out. Don’t forget to choose a trustable source to get the file (for example APKMirror).
