Netflix removes ‘New Girl’
So, it’s no surprise that its removal from Netflix received a backlash from its fans (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8).
Netflix announced that ‘New Girl’ will be leaving the platform on April 9, 2023, after nearly 10 years of streaming. The show will move to Hulu and Peacock in the US, and Disney+ in the UK, on April 17, 2023.
This means that fans will have to wait for eight days before they can binge-watch the show again on another service.
Some fans expressed their disappointment and sadness on social media, saying that they will miss watching ‘New Girl’ on Netflix and that they are not ready to say goodbye to the characters.
While others said that they will switch to another streaming service to continue watching the series.
