MWIII is once again becoming a hot topic for the community due to an in-game issue, this time concerning a ‘no stock’ error for the XRK Stalker Sniper Rifle. Fortunately, the developers have acknowledged the issue and are working on a fix.

‘No stock’ for XRK Stalker Sniper Rifle in MWIII

The XRK Stalker is a sniper rifle introduced in Season 1 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. It is a powerful weapon that can be unlocked by completing Sector A4 of the Season 1 Battle Pass.

The best loadout for the XRK Stalker is designed for quick scoping and mobility and includes the following attachments: Sonic Suppressor XL, Fission 60, No Stock, and .50 CAL Spire Point Rounds.

Unfortunately, the ‘no stock’ attachment is reportedly glitched, making it impossible to unlock. According to player reports, even after completely leveling the gun, players are unable to use the attachment in the loadout menu.

While all the other attachments work as intended and unlock at appropriate gun levels, ‘No Stock’ remains blocked even after meeting all the criteria. The community has been harshly criticizing the game for this issue.

A word from the devs

With reports piling up and criticism directed towards the developers for their alleged ‘neglect’, the official support team soon stepped into the fray to do some damage control.

They shared an official statement on social media as well as an official entry on the official Trello board of Call of Duty. According to the Trello board entry, the issue is currently under ‘investigation’.

There is no ETA or release date announced so far, but it is believed a fix will be released as soon as the team identifies and solves the source of the issue.
