Call of Duty: MWIII players are criticizing the game for the lack of resolution of the persisting button layout setting bug. Even though the issue has been there for a while, the devs are still silent about the it. However, here are some workarounds below that could offer some solutions.

Even with the piling reports, there aren’t any solutions or statements available from the devs yet, which is fueling the fire of player rage even higher.

MWIII has had multiple bugs and issues ever since its release, which is having quite a negative effect on the overall reviews of the game.

How to fix the issue?

To fix the MW3 button layout bug on PS5, players can try the following steps:

  • Delete Saved Data: Go to “Settings” > “Saved Data and Game” > “App Settings” > “Saved Data” > “Console Storage” > “MWII” and delete the saved data. This may allow you to edit your button layout, but it will also delete your campaign progress in the game.
  • Update System Software: Regularly update the PS5/ Xbox system software to ensure optimal performance. Developers release updates to fix bugs and improve system stability. To check for updates, go to Settings, then to System Software, and select System Software Update.

Be cautious when attempting these solutions, as some of them may result in the loss of game progress. If none of these solutions work, it’s advisable to wait for an official fix from the game developers.
