Call of Duty MWIII players have taken to the internet to express their fondness for the 10v10 Mosh Pit mode and their desire for it to be a permanent addition to the game. The main reason for their obsession with this mode is the lower intensity of skill-based matchmaking (SBMM).

Why MWIII players obsessed with the 10v10 Mosh pit mode?

The 10v10 Mosh Pit mode in Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) has received positive feedback from players who appreciate the reduced emphasis on skill-based matchmaking (SBMM). This mode is known for being a lot of fun and providing a more relaxed experience compared to the standard 6v6 modes. Some players have even suggested that the mode should be extended to 12v12 or even 14v14.

Players have been vocal about their wish for the 10v10 Mosh Pit mode to remain in the game permanently. This mode is played on medium to large-sized maps and has been well-received by the MW3 community, with many players considering it one of the game’s few redeeming qualities.

Despite the high praise, the future of this mode in the game remains uncertain, as there haven’t been any official statements confirming its longevity. There is a possibility that the mode may be removed in the near future.

In addition to the reduced SBMM and more relaxed gameplay, the 10v10 mode is also seen as a great way to level up guns, particularly during ongoing Double XP events.

Why do some players of MWIII hate SBMM?

The primary reason why some players prefer the 10v10 mode over the 6v6 and other modes in MWIII is the alleged reduction in SBMM. But where does this hate for SBMM come from?

SBMM, or Skill Based Match Making, is a system implemented in the game that matches players into lobbies based on their skill level. Due to this system, players who have invested extensive hours honing their skills are matched against players with a similar level of experience.

As a result, they are unable to have “casual” matches and achieve high kill streaks against less experienced players to showcase their scores online. This subset of players despises SBMM, considering it a detested addition to modern online games.

The issue with this feature has become so intense that some players have resorted to using a VPN to bypass SBMM. However, many consider this method to be cheating.

Ultimately, the alleged relaxed SBMM in the 10v10 mode is the key positive aspect of the feature. Some players believe that if Activision were to make the mode permanent but tweak the SBMM to function fully within the mode, its popularity would decline.
