[Updated] MTG Arena players not receiving card styles on subsequent entries of Double Feature event, issue acknowledged

MTG Arena (Magic: The Gathering Arena) is a popular free-to-play game based on card collection to build decks and face other players or challenges proposed by the AI.

The game is available for both computers/laptops (Windows and macOS) and mobile devices (Android and iOS). This has facilitated its expansion to many potential players.

To keep the game’s player base active, its developers schedule challenges and events from time to time. As an example of this, there is the Double Feature event in MTG Arena.

But, multiple reports indicate that players are not receiving the rewards in the mentioned event. This issue will occur after the second attempt or draft (1, 2, 3, 4, 5).

According to reports, the reward for challenges in the MTG Arena Double Feature event (new card styles) is only obtained on the first attempt. Then, in the following entries, players do not receive anything else.

Is anyone else not receiving card styles from the MTG Arena Double Feature event after the first?

(Before anyone asks, yes I’ve submitted a bug report, but I’m curious if I’m the only one)

I’ve played through three Double Feature drafts and while I got a card style for the first one, I didn’t for the other two. Is this a problem anyone else has encountered?

In addition to the above, some players suggest that the event is not worth it. It seems that the rarity of the rewards obtained is not worth the expenditure of resources and effort for some.

Double Feature Draft Rewards Are a Total Scam

The event costs the same to enter as a Premier Draft, but you receive no packs as rewards AT ALL, and the payout in gems is lower for everything except 6 and 7 wins (where it is only marginally higher). And what do you get to compensate for this? A few card styles? The packs having twice as many rares (many of which you won’t be drafting if you are trying to win, as they are either unplayable or won’t be in your colors)?

The team behind MTG Arena is aware of the situation. They reveal that the issue will be fixed in a future update and players will receive their rewards. In addition to the above, there will be additional compensation.

They will be rewarded in an update, shortly after the Kamigawa release. Players will also receive two card styles each instead of the initial one.
