MTG Arena is the digital adaptation of popular collectible card game, Magic: The Gathering (MTG), by Wizards of the Coast.

It has been available on Microsoft Windows since 2019 and macOS since 2020 whereas its iOS and Android versions came out back in March 2021.

Now, an issue appears to be spoiling the user experience for those who are trying to play the MTG Arena Color Challenge matches.

As per several user reports, MTG Arena gets stuck on the Waiting for server screen before a Color Challenge match.

However, affected players may not have to dwell with this problem for long as it is being looked into.

The MTG Arena and Wizards Customer Support Twitter handles have officially acknowledged the said issue.

Also, it has been mentioned that they are working on a fix which further indicates that the issue might get resolved soon.

However, this is still based on our speculation as no ETA for the said fix has been provided in the acknowledgements.

In the meantime, players can try a simple workaround to bypass the Color Challenge loading (Waiting for server) bug.

To do so, head over to Options then open the Accounts section and select the Skip Tutorial option.

While this is an official workaround, several players have pointed out that cancelling a match before an opponent is found and then starting a new Color Challenge match also fixes the issue.
