Since the official unveiling of Android 10 back in September 2019, the same build has rolled out to countless devices across many Android OEMs from Samsung, Nokia, OPPO, Realme, OnePlus and many more.

Today, eligible devices that have not been updated are becoming the minority as the last batch of devices from various OEMs continue to get updated. This, even at a time when development of Android 11 is picking up pace.

Motorola Razr came with Android Pie pre-installed

Today, Motorola is seeking to expand the list of its devices that currently run Android 10 by adding the Motorola Razr. Yes, the Motorola Razr foldable phone is finally getting updated to Android 10.

The eagerly awaited update to Android 10 brings a host of new features and enhancements to the Motorola Razr. Most notable is the push by Motorola to get a little more functionality out of the Quick View display.

You now don’t need to unfold your Razr to make a call. Simply swipe left on the Quick View display to access your favorite contacts. Razr users are now able to read and respond to messages from the most popular messaging apps with new Smart Reply or the new Quick View keyboard.

On top of that, the Quick View display acts as a better viewfinder for your selfies and now includes even more modes such as Group Selfie, Portrait Mode, Spot Color, and more.

Of course, you also get the Android 10 features like Native Dark Mode, better Media playback management, Live Caption, Smart Reply, new Navigation Gestures, Focus Mode among others.

Motorola says that this Android 10 build for Motorola Razr begins to roll out globally on May 11th. However, it might be a few days or weeks before the update is available to all Moto Razr users. Stay tuned for local availability. The device is also eligible for an update to the next version of Android, Android 11/R.

Update 1 (May 19)

The update to Android 10 for the Moto Razr is now live in China.

Update 2 (June 19)

Motorola Rarz devices in Canada on Telus network should get the Android 10 update starting today.
