One of the smartphones from the most popular smartphone lineups of Motorola, the Moto G7 is getting the February 2020 security patchset. The update is currently live for the users in the US.
This update bumps the security patch level to February 2020 and we all know that security updates are pretty important for Android phones. But, users are more eagerly waiting for the Android 10 update on their units.
PiunikaWeb readers should remember, that we documented a story where we reported that the Android 10 update for the Motorola G7 is expected to arrive in Q2 of 2020.
Although this piece of information came from Motorola France, users in other regions should expect the update to arrive, a few months apart.
Interestingly, the Moto G7 Plus has already picked up the stable Android 10 update. The firmware update also brought the January 2020 patchset.
But, Moto G7 users are not fortunate like the Moto G7 Plus users and probably have to wait a bit more to enjoy Android 10 on their handsets. While the users keep waiting for the Android 10, the February 2020 patchset has arrived with the version number PPOS29.114-134-10.
