Motorola Edge 30 Ultra is one of the premium flagship smartphones released by Motorola last year. Recently, the company released an update that introduced security patches and some camera improvements.

However, despite the latest patch, some are still experiencing old issues when using their phones.

Motorola Edge 30 Ultra February 2023 update still doesn’t fix random restarts

Motorola Edge 30 Ultra owners (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) have been facing an issue where their smartphone restarts as soon as they toggle their Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or data connection.

The issue persists even after the latest February 2023 update, implying that Motorola has yet to fully address it despite having been around for months now.

A Motorola Edge 30 Ultra owner complains that their phone’s dialer stops ringing every other day. Even though they can see the number-dialing pop-up, they cannot connect with the concerned person.

They also claim that installing a third-party dialer application also doesn’t solve the problem. Allegedly, they have to reboot their smartphone time and again.

Another user alleges that their 5 months old mobile device keeps on randomly rebooting. They have also tried tinkering with multiple phone settings but to no avail.

It’s been months and still no fix. Unacceptable IMO. The issue is clear. Edge 30, ultra, pro, neo all have the same problem. Motorola needs to fix this.

Those affected have tried resetting the app preferences, restarting the phone in Safe Mode, and factory resetting it, but to no effect.

Even more annoying is that a Moto agent says they don’t have any new updates regarding the issue. They also mentioned that users will be notified as soon as they receive any input.

It is worth mentioning that some Moto Edge 30 Fusion users had a similar problem earlier. Even though Motorola claimed to have permanently resolved the bug, some (1,2,3) still claim to be facing the same issue.

And it’s also possible other Moto Edge 30 series devices are affected as well, but we do hope that Motorola fixes the persistent bug soon.

In the meantime, we’ll keep tabs on the issue with random restarts on the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra when toggling Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or data. Hopefully, the next update brings a permanent fix.
