Several Monopoly GO players have recently been requesting the developers to introduce a ‘Gold sticker or card trading’ feature.

The classic board game Monopoly, for sure, has captivated generations with its wheeling and dealing and strategic gameplay.

In April, Scopely released a digital adaptation of Monopoly for Android and iOS, the Monopoly GO. And notably, it has garnered good reviews from both critics and fans.

It is simple to learn, and Hasbro has produced different versions of the game based on the hit IP. These include Bojack Horseman, Rick and Morty, and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

The game features a number of collectible items, including avatars, tokens, trading cards, and stickers, which can be used to complete albums, sets, or unlock new features.

One can earn these collectibles by completing daily quests, opening packs, or participating in events.

Also, they can share stickers with their buddies and help them progress if they have multiple copies of the same sticker.

In addition, gamers can get a rare gold sticker upon completing difficult challenges or participating in special events.

But numerous players (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) are sad as the gold stickers or cards are hard to acquire and currently untradable. Due to this, they are experiencing difficulties completing their sticker albums.

Gamers believe that the card collection process should be made easy and the limit for maximum number of cards be tweaked as well.

On the other hand, those who are fortunate enough to collect cards and complete the albums are also in a dilemma. And this is because they cannot utilize the extra cards that they have earned.

Those affected have even questioned the point of introducing the stickers if they are not easily accessible. And understandably, they are now requesting the developers to introduce an option to trade the gold stickers or cards.

According to rumors (1,2) that have been doing rounds, this feature was supposed to be released sometime last week.

But sadly, that was not the case. As of now, it is unclear whether the feature will be introduced or not.

05:14 pm (IST): Players who wish to finish collections will reportedly have to pay roughly $25 for just one missing card pack due to the restrictions on trading Gold stickers or cards.

06:44 pm (IST): The current trading system has limitations that scammers are exploiting. Currently, you can only ‘gift’ Gold cards or stickers, which means that you cannot be sure that you will receive the card you want in return.

A real trading system would allow players to select the exact card they want, and both players would have to agree to the trade before it is finalized.

06:29 pm (IST): More instances (1,2) of scammers profiting on the absence of a continuous trading system for Gold cards and stickers have been reported.
