MLB The Show 23 'pinpoint pitching' reportedly broken or harder on Xbox, but there're some workarounds

MLB The Show 23 has a total of 5 pitching options, namely, classic pitching, pulse pitching, pure analog pitching, meter pitching, and pinpoint pitching.

However, gamers are unhappy as the pinpoint pitching mode is harder to use on Xbox.

According to reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10), multiple players are having troubles using pinpoint pitching because it is now more difficult to get perfect or accurate releases with wireless controllers.

Also, it has been alleged that the accuracy reading shows a high number even when the throws are messed up.

The pinpoint pitching method was introduced last year to give gamers the most accurate control in throwing the ball. However, this mode is the most difficult to master due to its complicated mechanics.

A player alleges that when they pull down during pinpoint pitching, it doesn’t always go all the way down, preventing them from getting a perfect release.

Another gamer says that even though they are hitting 100% on their pitches, their throws are totally off-target.

In this regard, some gamers (1,2) advise that you focus on the flick down rather than the motion of the ball. They also add that the ball will go all over the place, if you’re too early or too far left, even with 100% accuracy.

To get a precise throw, you have to maintain 85% accuracy and be 0.01 seconds early and 1° right.

Fortunately, we did come across a potential workaround that may help solve your problem. A gamer on Reddit recommends that you purchase a wired controller to enjoy playing with the pinpoint pitching mode.

Having said that, we do hope that San Diego Studio resolves the issue where MLB The Show 23 pinpoint pitching is broken or harder on Xbox soon.
