As a Pixel user and someone who writes and manages stuff out here on PiunikaWeb, seeing arguably the biggest tech YouTuber prefer the Pixel 8 Pro over the iPhone 15 Pro was something that I thought was quite interesting. Marques Brownlee, better known as MKBHD, recently sat down for a video with GQ titled “10 Things Marques Brownlee Can’t Live Without.” In the video, Marques showed off some items that he uses practically everyday.

As a smartphone enthusiast, the most interesting part for me was to see what smartphone the YouTube tech king uses. And lo and behold, it is none other than the Google Pixel 8 Pro, alongside the iPhone 15 Pro. MKBHD went on to clarify that he does prefer the “Android setup” over the iPhone. So while ‘technically’ he didn’t claim the Pixel 8 Pro to be the better phone, I’d like to interpret it that way. 🤭

Of course, as a long-time MKBHD viewer, I’m well aware that he prefers Androids over iPhones. As a reviewer, MKBHD gets to test out a boatload of smartphones, so when he mentioned the Pixel 8 Pro rather than the newly launched S24 Ultra, it was intriguing to say the least.

Nevertheless, Marques does point out that the phones in his pockets are often replaced every week. So while the Pixel 8 Pro might not remain as his primary phone for long, having a preference for it’s Android experience over iOS is something Google call a small victory. After all, not only does Google make Pixel phones, but they also develop Android.

That said, Marques also shows off his preferred camera, backpack, headphones, laptop and more in the video. You can watch it below:
