In Minecraft, Marketplace is an in-game store where its players can buy skin packs, texture packs, and worlds that are created by the community or are official releases.

The licensed content that is available on Marketplace includes popular franchises such as Star Wars, Sonic the Hedgehog, Mass Effect, Jurassic World, and many more.

There is content available for free on Minecraft Marketplace, but in order to make any purchase, you need an in-game currency called Minecoins. This currency can be bought using microtransactions involving real-world money.

Minecraft Marketplace is not working on Nintendo Switch

However, many Minecraft players are reporting an issue where the Marketplace is not working or throwing ‘invalid session’ error and even the skins are not loading on Nintendo Switch (1,2,3,4,5,6,7).

Players are having an issue where Minecraft constantly logs them out from their accounts and they are only able to log back in after multiple tries.

The Marketplace is also currently grayed out for many players, and every time they try to access it an error message that says “invalid session” is displayed on their Nintendo Switch screens.

Due to this, players are unable to use their skins or textures since they need to have access to the Marketplace to do so. Players have attempted to log out and back in or re-install the game but even that doesn’t fix the issue.

i know the newest patch of minecraft is like,,, buggy as hell, but it would be nice if i could at least play the game without having to archive and reinstall every time i want to launch it 🙃 never had invalid session issues before now and not a fan

Many speculate that the recent update to Minecraft on Nintendo Switch is the cause for all these issues, but Mojang has yet to confirm this claim.

But we hope Mojang addresses these Minecraft Marketplace issues soon so that Nintendo Switch players can once again enjoy the game.
