Microsoft Rewards is a loyalty program that capitalizes on the gamification of web searches through Bing. However, users say that Microsoft Rewards is not tracking or counting their ‘web search’.

Microsoft Rewards ‘web search’ not tracking

This perplexing issue has left several users scratching their heads as to why this is happening (1,2,3,4,5,6,7).

The program is duly rewarding users who diligently engage in reading and various other activities. However, the ‘web searches’ that they conducted using Bing are not tracking or counting.

Perhaps what’s most baffling is the scope of this glitch. In fact, it is not confined to a specific device or browser. It is not just about PCs or phones alone, as it affects tablets and gaming consoles as well.

This situation is of particular concern because there’s a daily limit on the points that you can accumulate using the search.

Additionally, it will reset the reward streak, which means you will no longer be eligible for the large reward you were working towards.

Same here. My daily search count is at zero after completing mine. @Microsoftneeds to fix this…

For users who actively engage with Microsoft Rewards, the inability to accrue points for web searches is more than just a technical glitch. It represents a tangible loss of potential rewards and benefits they have come to expect.

Unfortunately, Microsoft support has not yet officially responded on this issue. Also, we have not come across any workaround at this moment in time.

That said, we will keep tabs on the topic and update this article to reflect the latest developments.
