Microsoft allegedly aware sync calendar option in Outlook keeps turning off, fix expected with v4.2316.0 or later

Microsoft Outlook is one of the well-known email applications used by both end-users and professionals worldwide.

It comes with many useful features such as email search, integrated calendar, and much more which help ease and organize one’s day-to-day activities.

However, it looks like several users are facing some issues with the calendar function.

Multiple Microsoft Outlook users (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) are experiencing difficulties in accessing important information via calendar as the sync option keeps turning off, time and again.

Some claim to be facing this problem across multiple accounts, even after switching the app to Unrestricted mode. They allege that the sync option gets disabled at different time intervals.

This is understandably frustrating for those who use the app for keeping track of important reminders, meetings, and other events since they have to manually sync the data from the app settings, every now and then.

The issue has persisted for the past couple of weeks and affects Android users. And as a result, they have taken to web forums to complain about the same.

Unfortunately, I already had Outlook set to unrestricted and it still disables calendar sync multiple times per day. Interestingly, I have 2 accounts and the sync gets disabled at different times for each.

I have the same issue. Gone so far as to delete outlook and recreated everything. Calendar sync turns off in a few hours.

Those affected have tried clearing the app’s cache, disabling the battery saver setting, resetting their accounts, and uninstalling and reinstalling the app, but to no avail.

Some have even switched to alternative app clients so that their daily workflow doesn’t get affected.

A user on the Microsoft Community forums claims that the company is aware of the issue and has stated that a fix will be rolled out in v4.2316.0 or a later version.

We hope that Microsoft will resolve the issue where the option to sync the calendar in Outlook keeps turning off repeatedly.
