As we are approaching the end of 2019, Xiaomi has again made headlines with its Mi Note 10 smartphone. The reason being a massive 108 MP camera packed in with the device.

Though the device does not feature a top-of-the-line processor and sports a decent mid-ranger Snapdragon 730G SoC. But other major highlights of the device like a huge 5,260 mAh battery, 6 GB of RAM, 128 GB of onboard storage, penta camera setup at the back, makes this device a real head-turner.

Not only this, the company is on its toes in pushing the MIUI 11 updates and quite a few devices have already been ticked off from this list. Even the device running on Nougat (i.e. Mi Max 2) has been served with the 11th iteration of MIUI.

Side by side, Xiaomi is also rolling out timely security updates as well. And in a recent development, Mi MIX 3 5G and Mi 9 are reportedly getting October and November 2019 security updates, respectively.

Moreover, the update for Mi 9 is being pushed in the European region while the Mi MIX 3 5G grabs the update for global variants. Let us take a look at the updates one by one.

Mi 9

The new update that tags along November security update carries version number V11.0.6.0.QFAEUXM and weighs in about 470 MB for the OTA update. The global model has already been served with the latest patchset.

Mi MIX 3 5G

The 5G variant of Mi MIX 3 which was launched in May 2019 is also getting a new security update globally, but (sadly!) it’s the October security patchset. Notably, the European model has already been served with a similar patchset.

Talking about the update, it arrives with the version number V10.3.20.0.PEMMIXM and weighs in about 1.95 GB for the full update package file. We still don’t know when the Chinese OEM is planning to deliver the Android 10 and/or MIUI 11 update for this phone.

The current OTA is purely incremental in nature and tags along just the October 2019 security patch for the device. Besides, it is being pushed via OTA in batches.
