The hype around MIUI 11 came into existence long before the actual release. Our readers should remember that the Chinese OEM unexpectedly pushed a private build of this major update for Mi 9 and a few other phones at the beginning of September.

And then they delivered a watermarked testing version :P

Apart from another round of accidental updates, Xiaomi simplified the whole process of getting MIUI 11 on your phone. The beta initiative went live in China. In fact, xiaomi.eu guys took the opportunity and promptly released MIUI 11 update for a number of Mi and Redmi branded devices.

Call it an unfortunate event, but Pocophone F1 users have yet to get the chance to evaluate MIUI 11. The update is in the pipeline, but we still don’t know the exact timeline of the long-anticipated OTA.

Oh, and the Poco community is still mad about the successor!

Worry not young padawans, as Xiaomi engineers are working relentlessly to deliver the 11th generation of MIUI as soon as possible. Redmi K20 (which is sold as Mi 9T in some regions) units in China are receiving the update via stable branch since yesterday, alongside Redmi 7.

Xiaomi broke the tradition of delivering major updates to recent most flagships, as Redmi 7 is nothing but an entry-level smartphone. Curiously, two legacy top end phones are now reportedly getting the MIUI 11 update – both of them are powered by Snapdragon 845 SoC.

Yes, we are talking about Mi 8 and Mi MIX 2S. The Chinese units of these phones are getting V11.0.3.0.PEACNXM and V11.0.2.0.PDGCNXM builds respectively, albeit via a staged rollout. The combined changelog is as follows:
