Amidst the thrilling touchdowns and bone-crushing tackles, a peculiar ‘punt’ glitch has emerged in MUT Squads that is leaving Madden 24 players both bewildered and frustrated.

What is Madden 24 punt glitch?

In MUT Squads, a cooperative mode where players form a team to take on others, a glitch has taken center stage. Exploited by some cunning players, it turns the punt into an unusual maneuver that contradicts the very essence of the sport.

The glitch in question centers on the use of a tall player on one’s team to punt the ball out of bounds. According to the official rules of football, when a team punts the ball out of bounds, possession should be transferred to the opponent’s players. However, the glitch alters this fundamental principle, returning the ball to the team that initially kicked it out of bounds.

To exacerbate the situation, the team that executed the punt gains an unfair advantage in terms of yardage. The glitch registers this unexpected turn of events as 1st and -33 or even -34. This oddity not only defies the laws of football but also presents an overwhelmingly favorable situation for the team responsible for the punt.

As if that were not bizarre enough, the glitch proceeds to distort the concept of touchdowns. The exploiting team punts the ball again, this time out of the end zone. In a shocking twist, this action is counted as a touchdown without any of their players having to catch the ball. This effectively allows these players to rack up points without adhering to the basic rules of scoring in football.

Players frustration

The impact of this glitch is not merely an abstract concern but a palpable frustration for players engaging in MUT Squads. Numerous players are expressing their confusion and disappointment.

For several, the experience of encountering the punt glitch is deeply disheartening. After all, Madden has a reputation for its realistic simulation of American football. The glitch not only contradicts the sport’s core principles but also undermines the integrity of the game itself. This situation is not merely about winning or losing; it is about fairness. It is also about the ability to enjoy a game that is as close to the real thing as possible.

Frustrated players have taken to forums, social media, and gaming communities to voice their concerns. Some have shared their experiences, narrating how this glitch has ruined what would have otherwise been enjoyable games. They describe their profound disappointment in the game’s developers for not addressing this issue in a timely manner

No acknowledgment or workaround

Despite numerous reports and discussions regarding the glitch, the game’s developers have yet to acknowledge the problem officially. This lack of acknowledgment is fueling players’ growing sense of disillusionment, leading them to question the game’s development and support team.

The absence of a workaround adds further fuel to the fire. Players are left in the dark, unsure of whether the glitch will be addressed in future updates. This uncertainty is unsettling, particularly for dedicated Madden players who invest significant time and effort in mastering the game.
