Individuals can also use this website to create lists, discover curated suggestions, and converse with other cinephiles. However, some have recently started experiencing issues sharing their reviews on Instagram.
Letterboxd users unable to share ratings or reviews on Instagram Stories
According to reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10), multiple Letterboxd users are facing an issue where they are unable to share their ratings or reviews on Instagram Stories.
Allegedly, users get an ‘The app you shared from doesn’t currently support sharing to Stories’ error message on trying to do so.
This is, without a doubt, quite disheartening for all those who love sharing their opinions about different movies with their online audience.
One of those affected says they have been sharing their Letterboxd ratings on Instagram Stories for the past three and a half months but are now unable to do so.
It’s noteworthy that the issue persists even after the recent app update and has been affecting users for the past few days. And understandably, users have taken to Reddit and Twitter to express their concerns.

Unfortunately, common troubleshooting steps like rebooting the phone, updating the apps, or uninstalling and reinstalling them could not help solve their problem.
Some speculate that this is happening due to the recently introduced changes to rules and regulations on Facebook or Instagram. Those affected are now requesting the developers to resolve this problem as soon as possible.

Fortunately, Letterboxd has officially acknowledged this issue and is currently investigating it. Although, no official ETA for the bug fix has been provided.
We are hopeful that Letterboxd will address this issue shortly.
