Lego Fortnite players have reported trees growing inside their houses, labeling it as a bug. But is this truly the case? According to some veteran players, this entire issue could be a misunderstanding of the game’s mechanics.

Lego Fortnite trees growing inside buildings

LEGO Fortnite is a new survival crafting adventure game that combines the creativity and art style of LEGO with the popular Fortnite video game format. The game offers players an open-world sandbox experience, similar to the beloved crafting game, Minecraft.

In the game, players can explore a massive, procedurally generated map featuring amazing biomes, natural life, and more. They can harvest materials from these biomes to create structures of their imagination.

In the overworld, trees play a vital role as the primary source of wood. However, they have garnered a bad reputation among players as they are reportedly appearing inside player-made structures, disrupting their well-thought-out plans.

Players are reporting that it could be some kind of bug causing the trees to spawn right inside the buildings. However, after delving into the game’s mechanics, especially the behavior of trees, it seems that this issue is not a bug but rather a result of a lack of information among players.

Why are the trees spawning inside?

The answer is simple: they are not spawning but growing. According to some veteran players and content creators, after cutting a tree, players also need to remove the sapling that will grow right on the spot, or else the tree will grow again.

If a player builds their house right on top of the sapling, the tree will grow indoors.

How to Remove the Sapling?

It is as easy as cutting a tree in the game. After felling a tree, players need to wait on the spot for a few moments for the sapling to grow. Then, equip a shovel and simply root out the sapling.

And that’s it; the tree will never grow on the spot again.
