League of Legends is one of the most popular MOBAs available. The game is based on clashes between teams of champions with different characteristics and abilities.

League of Legends players have several possibilities to build strategies. For instance, they can improve some attributes of their champions through runes according to their needs.

However, some League of Legends (aka LoL) players are facing issues when trying to set or edit runes for their characters (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7).

League of Legends Rune presets reset or do not save

Runes can be chosen before starting a match. You can also create rune presets on some characters to have them ready for combat.

But some League of Legends players are facing issues on the Rune page due to presets being reset or not saved when they restart the game (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7).

Problem with runes

I have a problem with runes and rune pages. For some reason they do not save. I have 3 rune pages: for Sona, for Nami and 1 free slot for other champions. When I attempt to edit any of them it seems fine, but after restarting the game they are back to what they used to look like.

It is exactly the same when I try to delete the pages. They seem to get deleted, but after restarting the game, they are back. Therefore I am stuck with 3 rune pages and am unable to edit or delete them.

rune keeps switching back to an old saving need help

so I have been AFK for about two years and I have several pages of runes that I saved before

now since I start playing again I changed runes here and there, and whenever I logged out and logged back the runes are back to the old default that I saved two years ago. I have even tried to delete pages and set up new pages and it still went back to the pages that I saved two years ago.

Riot Games team is aware

The Riot Games team confirmed through their Twitter account that they are aware of the problem. The company is working on a fix, but there is no ETA for it yet.

Hey, sadly this is an issue on our side, and the team is working on a fix. At the moment, we didn’t find a solution to fix this locally 🙁

They also point out that there is no workaround to help mitigate the glitch since it is a server-side bug. So, affected players can only wait for updates in this regard.

We will update this article as events unfold or when the fix is available.
