The trailer for Violet Evergarden: The Movie is out and we couldn’t be more thrilled!

Kyoto Animation official Twitter handle has just announced the release of an extended trailer for the much-awaited Violet Evergarden: The Movie. You can catch this ‘intermission video’ on the studio’s official YouTube channel, it is quite the visual treat.

As it is clear from the trailer Violet Evergarden: The Movie is expected to be an emotional rollercoaster ride, quite in-line with the anime.

The trailer features Violet and Gilbert, and characters who have been previously featured in Violet Evergarden the anime season one, which had finished airing in April 2018.

Along with the movie, the trailer also announces a roadshow for Violet Evergarden that the makers will launch on the same day the movie releases.

The English version of the trailer isn’t out yet. We will update this space as soon as it does.

When will Violet Evergarden: The Movie Release?

The movie, which was in the works suffered a delay in release due to the tragedy that hit the studio in July, last year. The production was delayed after the studio suffered casualties and lost a big chunk of their work due to arson.

Therefore, the studio took all fans when it announced the release date for the movie along with a new visual featuring Violet and Gilbert earlier.

Violet Evergarden: The Movie will release in Japan on April 24, (Friday).

Given that the movie is expected to be a continuation of the story where the anime left off, all eyes are on this new movie.
Unless you count the special OVA that released on July 4, 2018.
In fact, fans across the world are hoping for an international release (worldwide release) of the movie along with Japan.

For the uninitiated, Violet Evergarden is an animated show produced by Kyoto Animation based on a light novel by Kana Akatsuki having the same name.
