Players of Just Dance 2023 have been encountering issues with the game’s mobile controller app, which is designed to enhance their dance experience by tracking their score and movements via their smartphones, and even providing a backup controller option.
Issues with the Just Dance 2023 and 2024 Controller App
Ubisoft’s Just Dance franchise is renowned as one of the most beloved rhythm game series globally. The latest addition to this series, Just Dance 2024, was officially introduced on June 12, 2023, during the Ubisoft Forward June 2023 presentation, marking the fifteenth installment in the mainline series.
In the same event, Ubisoft also unveiled a second annual song pack for the 2023 version. The latest Just Dance series also has an innovative smartphone companion app that transforms the player’s mobile device into both a spare controller and a tracker.
Recent user reports have indicated that the app is not performing as expected. According to these reports, the app is failing to establish a connection with the player’s gaming console. Allegedly, every attempt to establish this connection results in an error message.
The error message cites an unknown issue preventing the app from connecting to Ubisoft’s servers. It recommends waiting for a while or reporting the problem to the official support team.
As of now, it remains unconfirmed whether the issue is limited to a specific gaming platform, as reports have surfaced from both PlayStation 5 and Xbox X/S series users.
Official acknowledgment and resolution
Nevertheless, not all hope is lost. The official support team for Just Dance has recently issued a statement acknowledging the problem. According to their announcement, the team is actively investigating the issue.
The support team has assured players that they will release a solution promptly. They will continue to provide updates on the resolution through an official post on [platform X]. While an official release date for the fix has not been disclosed, the team has committed to rolling it out as soon as possible.
