Jurassic World Evolution 2 update removes quills from male raptors unintentionally, fix in the works

Jurassic World Evolution 2 is the second and latest installment in the Jurassic World Evolution games. The business simulation game involves constructing and maintaining a Jurassic Park.

The game has several species of dinosaurs and marine reptiles. As opposed to its predecessor, the game also features a more complex AI that makes interactions between these species more realistic.

However, since its release, several bugs and issues have affected the gameplay such as the issue where many players complained that their Dinos were starving to death.

Although the developers often fix bugs like these, it looks like frequent updates to the game are causing some trouble. According to recent reports (1,2,3,4) from Jurassic World Evolution 2 players, the recent update resulted in missing quills from male raptors.

While this does not experience the gameplay in any way, players say they are having trouble distinguishing between male and female raptors. As it turns out, the issue surfaced after a recent update that fixed the female raptor quills.

You can see in the image below how the male raptors look without their quills.

It seems the issue of getting new stuff at the expense of other stuff has been ported from the first game to the second, we get the JP3 Pteranodon but it is so tiny, we get the quill-less female JP3 raptor but the male skin looses them as well. If future updates continue this way, i think each one will feel like a deal with the devil where we are offered something but other precious things are taken from us hahahahaha Just joking as i value the work put behind this, but i can only wonder, would it not have been a better launch to have these bugs sorted instead of waiting an entire month after to fix them and count them as part of the free update ?

All this talk about the quills on the JP3 raptors after the update, but everyone is forgetting what really matters. And that’s the dream raptor from JP3 and why don’t we have one that just runs around shouting ALAN come on please Frontier make this happen.

Many Jurassic World Evolution 2 say that they want quills back on male raptors. Users allegedly say that the glitch surfaced because the game uses the same files for both male and female raptors.

Thankfully, the developers have acknowledged the issue and said they are working on a fix. However, they did not share any ETA on when Jurassic World Evolution 2 missing male raptor quills will be coming back.
