Fortnite players worldwide are reportedly facing joystick drift issues, the problem is most prevalent among Xbox players. The development team at EPIC has acknowledged the issue and will soon release an update.
Fortnite joystick drift issues on Xbox and more
The immensely popular online shooter Fortnite is reportedly experiencing control and input issues. According to multiple reports, following the new update, players are encountering joystick drift problems with their controllers.
“Joystick drift” refers to an issue where the joystick on a controller moves on its own, causing unintended movement in the game. This issue can be frustrating for players, particularly in games like Fortnite, where precise movement is crucial.
While the majority of the reports are from Xbox players, there are also numerous complaints from players on other platforms, such as Playstation and Nintendo Switch, all stating that the controller drift is affecting their gameplay.
Moreover, players have also reported experiencing drift issues even when using the keyboard and mouse. Many players believe that using a keyboard and mouse provides advantages in aiming, building, and editing in Fortnite. However, due to this issue, players are finding it challenging to play the game even when using KBM.
Official acknowledgement
With the increasing reports and complaints, the issue has garnered the attention of the developers. In an official statement on social media, the support team provided an update on the issue.
According to the statement, the support team is aware of the issue, thanks to the reports, and has promised that it will be resolved in the upcoming update. However, the statement mentioned that they are currently investigating the issue only on Xbox controllers.
There are no acknowledgments or statements available yet for the issues on other platforms or KBM.
