Many Zettle by PayPal (formerly iZettle) users in the UK, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Germany, France, Spain, and Italy are reporting that the service is down and not working for them.

The issue began around an hour ago and has left many individuals as well as businesses troubled. We’ve added some reports for reference below:

Nothing works here. All 4 shops cannot accept any payments… (Source)

Apparently things are getting worse, Italy is now down too. (Source)

iZettle being down and not working has left many business owners and merchants frustrated as they are worried about losing their hard-earned money.

Well, it’s highly likely that no money will go unaccounted for, however, we’ll just have to wait and see what happens once the service is restored.

Speaking of which, the company’s support team already confirmed that a fix is in the works and will be deployed at the soonest.

Live updates about iZettle down and not working are being shared on the company’s official status page.

The latest update over there indicates that the investigation is still underway and there’s no ETA for a fix.

That said, we’ll post an update if and when there are any further developments regarding the matter.

Update 1 (July 4)

10:08 am (IST): Zettle support team has confirmed on their Status page that the recent outage with their service has now been resolved.
