Additionally, to inform players about the upcoming content before the shutdown, Mission Briefing Final will be aired on July 21 at 11:00 p.m. PDT.

This live stream will delve into further details about the end of service announcement and provide insights into the reasons behind the unfortunate decision.

Player reaction

This news has sent shockwaves through the gaming community, leaving fans with mixed emotions.

Some players have expressed concerns and dissatisfaction with certain aspects of the game, which they believe ultimately led to its demise.

One of the main issues raised by players is the game’s lack of focus on popular elements in the Western market, leading to a paucity of diversity in suits and gameplay styles.

Gundam Evolution’s failure to incorporate a broader range of suits, such as Wing, Burning, or Freedom, may have alienated some players, especially those who preferred non-traditional options.

Region locking has been another point of contention among the player base. By restricting gameplay access based on geographical location, the game potentially missed out on attracting a more global audience.

This game have a huge potential, but bad decisions made across this title until now, one of them is to delay the release for other regions across the world, and when you guys make the decision to release in other regions, made a precise FPS game without local server…

Another point of contention revolves around the perception that the developers prioritized the Japanese player base over Western players.

Some players expressed their frustration at the lack of responsiveness to feedback and suggestions, claiming that their voices were not being heard.

They also didn’t take in any opinions from the western fans and only listened to the Japanese player base which is why we have random 00 suits and gundam seed suits which are more popular to them compared to wing gundam being popular in the west.

There are some players (1,2,3) who are deeply saddened by the impending loss of the game they loved, and they are making the most of their remaining time to play before the servers shut down for good.

Like countless other games, Gundam Evolution had immense promise but couldn’t fully capitalize on it, leaving its loyal fanbase contemplating what might have been.
