Google has launched a new #BestPhonesForever ad where an iPhone and a Pixel 8 Pro share a friendly, wholesome conversation boasting the ‘Best Take’ feature to quickly fix facial expressions in selfies.

#BestPhonesForever ad shows iPhone wishing for Google Pixel 8 Pro’s ‘Best Take’

In today’s world where social networks have become an intrinsic part of society, one of the sections that smartphone users value most is the quality of the selfies they can take. With that in mind, Google developed the ‘Best Take’ feature and debuted it on the Pixel 8 series last year.

‘Best Take’ prevents your group selfies from being ruined by weird facial expressions from your friends, saving you the time of taking it again. How does it work? Simply choosing a different facial expression for any of the people in the photo, without further complications.

This is one of those AI-powered features that Google is so proud of and likes to brag about, and that’s just what we see in the latest #BestPhonesForever ad where an iPhone appears ‘tired’ after a hard night of partying where it had to take many selfies, many of which were ruined by weird facial expressions or people moving while taking it.

The iPhone complains that it doesn’t have the Google Pixel 8 Pro’s ‘Best Take’ feature to fix people’s faces in group selfies, so it had to work extra to get good quality photos. Amusingly, the Pixel 8 Pro says ‘been there’, referring to previous generations that did not have the feature.

Finally, the Pixel 8 Pro tells the iPhone to send it all selfies taken during the party to fix the faces, confirming that ‘Best Take’ works with photos from any source, even ones that were not taken from the device. You can see the full ad below:
