New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on September 25, 2023) follows:

iPhone and iPad owners have been encountering difficulties lately while trying to submit a bug report for the recently launched iOS 17 and iPadOS 17.

The company bundles a Feedback Assistant app for beta testers to file bug reports and other feedback in the beta OS builds.

However, this app is not included in the stable releases, and one needs to submit their feedback on the official web portal itself.

But, for some reason, Apple hasn’t included iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 among the operating systems in the feedback form. And surprisingly, the case remains the same even after several days since the launch of the latest OS.

Even though Apple does not respond to each feedback submission individually, they do review all the submissions to improve both operating systems.

The unavailability of the option to submit feedback is without a doubt quite concerning for users.

And this is because they can no longer provide their valuable inputs to the company that can potentially help them enhance their apps and services.

In addition to this, one cannot suggest new features or provide feedback about the existing ones. Sadly, it’s also possible that Apple Support might take longer to notice different bugs and issues reported on various forums.

Due to this, people will have to experience problems for a longer period of time. And this will, for sure, end up negatively impacting their overall experience.

Fortunately, the feedback form for the Apple Watch has been updated after the recent watchOS 10 update. So, those on the latest watchOS can report bugs and issues or share their feedback normally.

No official word

Of course, the fact that watchOS 10 already has a feedback form implies it’ll only be a matter of time before iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 get their own so that people can report bugs or share feedback about both operating systems.

Update 1 (October 11, 2023)

06:46 pm (IST): Fortunately, Apple has added entries for both iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 to the official feedback forms.
