Apple WWDC 2021 was held pretty recently where the tech giant unveiled the upcoming software upgrades for the iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch.

Among them, the iOS 15 update which is slated to bring a bunch of improvements to the eligible iPhone models later this year.

Now, the iOS 15 beta 1 update is out and users are already liking the improvements that it offers.

While some of its major features were already highlighted in the WWDC 2021 event, there is one small but handy feature that users are particularly liking.

As per recent reports from Reddit, the iOS 15 beta 1 update enables the option to delete apps directly from Spotlight.

Spotlight basically allows iOS users to search for apps, music, videos, podcasts, and much more. With the latest iOS beta update, the Spotlight feature just got better.

While the option to delete apps directly from Spotlight might appear as small improvement, it does come as a big surprise for those who rely heavily on Spotlight.

Apart from that, the latest iOS beta update packs features like SharePlay and Spatial Audio for FaceTime, Notification Summary, and much more.

Update 1 (June 08)

IST 06:50 pm: It seems that the iOS 15 beta 1 update also allows dragging apps from Spotlight and dropping them on the home screen, directly installing apps from Spotlight, and accessing Spotlight from the notification center/lock screen by swiping down.

Update 2 (October 01)

IST 06:19 pm: An individual has taken to Reddit to confirm that the option to delete apps directly from Spotlight Search is available on the stable iOS 15 updated as well.
