Instagram is undoubtedly one of the most popular social media platforms used by people of different ages, interests, and views.

However, it so may happen that one gets tired of endlessly scrolling content or wishes to take a break from the platform for a few days and considers deactivating their account.

But, unfortunately, some are unable to do so.

Deactivate account option missing or not available on Instagram

According to reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10), multiple Instagram users are experiencing difficulties in deactivitng their account or page as the option to do so is missing or unavailable.

Generally, the option to deactivate one’s Instagram account is available if they click or tap on the edit profile option and scrolls down. At the bottom, they will find the ‘Temporarily deactivate my account’ option.

It appears that the option has got removed or hidden for some unknown reasons. And to add to one’s troubles, they cannot find this option on both the app or the web portal.

Also, this is understandably frustrating and annoying for all those who want to deactivate their account for some time.

Some even speculate that the platform has done so in order to stop users from discontinuing its use.
