Instagram post notifications not working for multiple users

Owned by Facebook (now Meta), Instagram is one of the most popular social media platforms on the internet. With more than 1.4 billion users worldwide as of July 2021, it is also the fifth most visited website in the world.

Founded in 2010, the social media platform generated around $24 billion and accounted for around 36.9% of Facebook’s total revenue, making it Meta’s second most important product apart from Facebook.

With that being said, Instagram users do sometimes experience some issues every once in a while such as the recent issue where highlight story covers were not working for many.

According to recent reports, Instagram users are now complaining that they are not getting post notifications even though they have the option turned on.

In case you don’t know, you can turn on post notifications for specific accounts by clicking the three dots on a profile and choosing the “Turn on post notifications” option. Instagram will then notify you whenever they post a story or go live.

This is a really serious issue since the majority of Instagram users rely on post notifications to keep themselves updated and see what others are up to.

Is it just me or @instagram notification isn’t really working? Not just for Bangtan, but for all. Users said they tried clearing cache and reinstalling the app but still are not getting any post notifications. And because people are not getting notified, many are frustrated since they are missing important things such as posts from their favorite people.

Unfortunately, we could not find any workaround for those not getting Instagram post notifications. With the developers yet to say anything on the matter, it is still unclear if and when the issue will be fixed.

We hope the developers find out the root cause of the issue as soon as possible. If and when they do, we will update this space to reflect the same so make sure to keep an eye out for more information.
