Instagram has recently introduced a carousel that displays posts from the Threads app directly within the feed. The company intends to entice platform users to download the Threads app with this change.
However, it has ignited mixed reactions within the social media community. Some users even view this as a ‘desperate’ move by Instagram to bolster Threads’ user base.
Instagram now showing Threads posts in feed
Threads initially burst onto the scene with great fanfare and amassed over a hundred million users at an unprecedented pace. The new app appeared to be on track to become a major player in the social media space.
But the early excitement around Threads faded over time, resulting in a significant decline in active user count.
And as a result, Meta embarked on a mission to reignite user interest in the Threads app by integrating posts from the platform directly into Instagram.
Although it appears that this move has not proved fruitful and is, in fact, irritating and annoying several users (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10).
People claim that they now see a ‘for you’ section with content from Threads after scrolling down their Instagram feed.
However, they don’t want to view threads from people they follow in their Instagram feed and intend to use the platform like before.

Some contend that Meta has transformed Instagram into Facebook, as the latter too displays reels and content from other platforms like Instagram.
A few are disappointed as they keep receiving Threads promotions even when they cannot access the Threads app in their country.
In addition to this, users have also questioned the point of forcefully displaying content from another platform on their feed. Some people are even calling the recent alteration a desperate move to regain the user base on the platform.
So now when you scroll down your Instagram feed, you gonna receive a “for you” section with some Threads content 🫠🫠🫠

Those impacted are now requesting the company to revert the recent change so that they can enjoy using the platform like before.
