Hulu is an on-demand American subscription streaming service with The Walt Disney Company as its major stakeholder. It has been around for more than a decade now.

One of the constant demands from Hulu users has been a skip button for the intro of TV shows and movies. It’s a feature that has been there for their competitors like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video for years.

For a while now, many users on Twitter have been demanding for the feature to be released in future updates (1,2,3,4,5,6,7). Hulu is a part of Disney, and Disney+ has had the ‘skip intro’ button for years as well.

For some time now, the ‘skip intro’ button has been limited to select shows on the platform. But it seems that Hulu has finally started working on expanding the feature to more shows and has, in fact, been experimenting with it.

Here’s the official word

Hulu Support on Twitter confirmed that they are currently working on introducing this feature to its wider audience. But at the moment, it’s only available for select content on a few devices.

However, they did not provide any ETA for its release. Granted, Hulu subscribers will have to remain patient for some time.
