Hulu showing on-screen ads during shows for some users, issue acknowledged

According to reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10), multiple Hulu subscribers are experiencing an issue where on-screen ads appear on the side of the screen during a show or program.

Unlike regular commercial breaks that are integrated into the content, these ads appear constantly during playback and cannot be removed or skipped.

Without a doubt, the ads that come on-screen are distracting and degrade the overall viewing experience. It also prevents one from fully immersing themselves in the content that they are watching.

Furthermore, the inability to get rid of or skip these adverts adds to the aggravation felt by afflicted individuals.

Users have even questioned the point of having purchased a premium membership if they have to watch ads every now and then.

An Apple TV owner says that advertisements appear on the screen for an extended amount of time, typically exceeding 10 minutes.

Another adds that ads appear consistently on current seasons of television shows on ABC and the local Fox Station, as well as past seasons of Family Guy.

And understandably, subscribers have taken to Twitter and Reddit to request a fix.

Fortunately, the Hulu support team on Twitter has formally acknowledged this glitch and is currently investigating it. However, no official ETA for the bug fix has been provided.

So, it appears that subscribers will have to wait a bit until the problem is fully rectified.
