Hulu is a popular choice for cord-cutters who want to watch their favorite TV shows and movies without a cable subscription.

March marks a significant key moment for Hulu as they celebrate 15 years and the debut of the eagerly awaited Boston Strangler film, which is based on a 1960s criminal.

Hulu showing ‘Dogfood’ logo

According to reports, several Hulu viewers claim that a ‘Dogfood’ logo appears on their Apple TVs (1,2,3,4,5).

Hulu viewers claim that while they can still access the service as usual, the word ‘Dogfood’ is shown on their screens instead of the Hulu logo.

The term ‘Dogfood’ refers to a program that involves employees using pre-release versions of the Hulu service and providing feedback to the development team.

This feedback helps the team identify and fix issues before the service is released to the wider audience. As a result, its presence for Hulu viewers was perplexing.

It’s been days , spoke to 3 reps and they have no clue why we’re seeing the Hulu Dogfood logo.

Issue acknowledged

According to Hulu support, ‘Dogfood’ typically appears if you’re enrolled in their beta testing program. Thus it should not appear for regular users:

Hence why the developers are investigating the issue. However, no ETA for a fix was revealed yet.

Hopefully, the Hulu ‘Dogfood’ logo bug gets addressed soon so that viewers can enjoy television without any hassle.

That said, we will keep tracking this for further development and will provide more details once new information becomes available.
