Hulu looking into sound issue affecting NBC's The Voice show

Hulu is one of the most popular streaming services available out there, with a large amount of content in its catalog. However, However, recently Hulu users experienced an issue with sound on The Voice show.

It seems that, during the transmission of the most recent episode of The Voice, the Hulu platform was streaming it with no sound. This is something that quickly raised the complaints of hundreds of annoying users.

The Voice is a singing contest, where the participants compete to obtain the favor of the judges and public. So, the correct functioning of the sound during its transmission is fundamental.

But, in the most recent episode of The Voice streamed on Hulu, this could not be fulfilled. An error caused the streaming platform to broadcast the program without any sound.

User reports (1, 2) indicate that, in addition to not having sound, the transmission of The Voice also did not offer the option of activating subtitles.

For some strange reason, the only show affected by this problem was The Voice. Users point out that, at the time the most recent episode was streamed without sound, all other content on the platform was working correctly.

User reports quickly reached the ears of the Hulu support team on Twitter. However, so far it is only known that they are investigating the matter, without offering a definitive solution for this.

At least, the company provided a workaround that could help mitigate the solution while they work on a fix.

Basically, they advise users to directly access the NBC platform or app using their Hulu login details. In this way, if the problem has to do with Hulu, then they should be able to properly enjoy the content.

At the moment, it is unknown if this workaround solved the problem that users were having with sound on The Voice.

There is a possibility that the problem was not Hulu’s fault, but was NBC’s responsibility.

According to one of the multiple answers in the related discussions, the sound problem actually originated directly from NBC. The user claims that both the NBC app and NBC.com were silent at the time.

The Hulu team is currently investigating the situation. Users will have to wait for a new official statement on the matter.
