Hulu audio out of sync after commercial issue being looked into, confirms support

Hulu users have lately been experiencing an issue where audio goes out of sync with the video soon after a commercial.

However, this is not the first time that users have experienced problems on the streaming platform.

For instance, we recently highlighted the issues where Love Island UK Season 10 episodes 50 and 51 were missing and the ‘Continue Watching’ option was not showing up on Hulu.

Multiple Hulu subscribers (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) say that the audio plays fine before commercials, however, soon after it completes, the sound goes out of sync.

As per the claims, the show becomes almost unwatchable, and one needs to exit the program and re-launch it to get the audio back in sync.

However, a few also assert that they need to either change the channel or pause and resume the playback to get things back to normal.

After every commercial audio goes out of sync until I either change the channel or pause the show. It only does it on live tv. Recorded tv never has this issue. Can someone help?!?!?

And undeniably, it’s quite frustrating and annoying to be repeating the process after every commercial.

Due to this, some are even considering discontinuing their Hulu membership. It’s noteworthy that users have experienced such issues in the past as well. However, they were able to resolve it by resetting the app.

But now, even after following common troubleshooting steps, users are still unable to get rid of this problem. The glitch appears to have popped up after a recent app update and has been persistent for a few weeks.

People have tried playing the content on different audio and streaming devices as well, but to no avail. And to add to their troubles, users are also facing difficulties contacting customer care.

They contend that the site does not contain any email addresses, phone numbers, or other contact information.

Luckily, the Hulu support team is aware of this issue and is currently investigating it. They have also recommended that the affected users try the troubleshooting steps mentioned here.
