Huawei launched the new version of its custom UI, EMUI 10.1 that enhances the performance and brings some new features for the already running Android 10 devices.

It was launched alongside the Huawei P40 series on March 26 and since then, has been made available for quite a few of the Huawei and Honor devices.

And as per recent reports, a new set of devices is either picking up the EMUI 10.1 update, or the beta recruitment has just kick-started. To make things clear, the Huawei MediaPad M6 series and MatePad are being served with the EMUI 10.1 update for those who have successfully registered for the beta recruitment.

Notably, the update for the M6 Series and MatePad has gone live for the users in China. Whereas EMUI 10.1 beta recruitment has just gone underway for the Huawei Mate X and Mate Xs in China.

Talking about the update for the Huawei MediaPad M6 series, the update is arriving for the registered beta users with version number 10.1.0.135 and includes April 2020 security patches as well. The supported models are M6 10.8 inches, M6 high energy version, and M6 8.4 inches.

Users are advised to be running version 10.1.0.116 in order to be able to receive this new EMUI 10.1 update. Here is the complete common changelog of the update (translated):

Huawei MatePad beta registered users are also getting the EMUI 10.1 update. The update is arriving with the version number 10.1.0.115 and is live for the model BAH3-AL00 and BAH3-W09.

And soon the Huawei Mate X and Xs will join them, as the company has started the EMUI 10.1 beta recruitment for the users. The users are required not to have a rooted device and are only live for the Huawei Mate X and Xs model, TAH-AN00 and TAH-AN00m.

This beta recruitment is only available for the Chinese users and the quota is limited to 2,000 users of the Huawei Mate X. While the non-log user’s quota for Mate Xs is limited to 200 users.

Update 1 (July 30)

The Huawei MediaPad M6 is now receiving the EMUI 10.1 update based on Android 10 in Cambodia. The build number for the update is 10.1.0.161 and it’s rolling out via an OTA package.
