The critically acclaimed DnD TTG-inspired RPG video game, Baldur’s Gate 3, has an extensive list of achievements, including a special achievement that is awarded if the player manages to kill Lord Gortash without triggering any of the traps in his fortress.

While there are multiple methods available in the game that let the player win this achievement, here’s an extremely easy and cheesy way to tackle the Gortash fight without triggering any traps or taking any damage at all.

To do this the hard way, players can climb the Wyrm rock fortress from the back and enter Gortash’s chambers while sneaking and ambushing him. But the difficulty and chances of failure with this method can be very high.

If the player belongs to the chaotic alignment and a little mischief and exploitive strategies aren’t a bother, then players can use this method instead. First, take the strongest character who has proficiency in athletics and make them drink the potion of ‘Hill Giant Strength’ to boost their strength up to 21.

After this, make your way to the top of the Wyrm’s Rock Fortress and use ‘improvised weapon attack’ on Gortash and lift him up.

Then quickly fast travel to the southern gate of Wyrm’s rock fortress and put down Gortash.

After this, the fun begins. Use ‘Shove’ and send the Lordling flying.

Push until he is in a corner and take him out, or just throw him off the cliff. We don’t judge.

And that’s it; Bane’s chosen is out of the scene, and no traps or steel watch were triggered, leaving the player with a netherstone and a shiny new achievement.

Word of caution: this method is nowhere near authentic or, in some sense, ‘fair’. We do not support exploits in games, and players are completely responsible for any consequences that may occur by using this method.
