Honkai: Star Rail fans are anxious about the game’s release on PS4 after the recent PS5 technical test announcement.

According to the notification, the recruitment has already begun, and one can sign up for the same until August 28.

Notably, the technical test will take place within a live server environment from September 4 to 10. And as per the official claims, the game will be released on the latest PlayStation console in Q4.

However, no information regarding the game’s arrival on PlayStation 4 has been provided yet.

By looking at the reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) it appears this announcement has got multiple fans confused because they cannot figure out whether the game will be available on PlayStation 4 or not.

Some players believe that the game can run smoothly on the old console. They also assert that the company might have opted not to release the game on the old console.

And this is because they want to boost sales of the latest PlayStation. Although they think that miHoYo will miss out on the opportunity to attract a larger player base by doing so.

A fan speculates that the game will never be launched on PS4. They argue that ‘Hoyo’ had touted the arrival of Genshin on the Nintendo Switch as well, which eventually did not materialize.

It probably won’t be released for the PS4, Hoyo announced PS4 at some point but it probably got cancelled. Just like Hoyo announced Genshin for Nintendo Switch, which then never came true. The PS4 is really starting to be outdated with most newer games being PS5 exclusive.
