In its search to increase the market share of its Pixel devices around the world, Google seems to be betting heavily on the Japanese market. In a recent marketing move, the company partnered with Japanese actress Hiroe Igeta to publish a short ad where she shared her experience using the Pixel 8 Pro as a travel companion to New York.

Hiroe Igeta says that this was her first time alone in New York and that she chose the Pixel 8 Pro to take with her. During the trip, she climbed the Empire State Building and took some spectacular photos using the device’s cameras, like the one you can see below.

The device was also of great help to her for things like translating texts in art museums, allowing her to learn more about the background of each piece and understand them better. The Pixel 8 Pro was even a valuable tool for finding her way around the trip and getting suggestions for nearby places she could visit thanks to Google Maps.

In this way, Google wants to quickly and concisely promote how useful the Pixel 8 Pro can be on a daily basis, not only for taking photos but also as a travel companion, both to orient yourself and to discover new places, and even as a language assistant if you require it.
