New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on September 24, 2021) follows:

If you are a fan of the Halo series, then you must have heard about Halo: The Master Chief Collection. It is a collection of first-person shooter Halo games that was released back in 2014 on the Xbox One.

It is published by Xbox Game Studios and consists of Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo 3 ODST, Halo: Reach, and Halo 4.

Interestingly, the collection regularly receives content updates. And with the release of Halo: Reach, the developers introduced season points.

It is a new progression system that allows players to earn and spend season points on some cosmetic items like armor, voice, and nameplates.

And earning season points can easily be earned by playing the game and completing activities that in turn increases your overall rank.

Your season points will be carried over to next season along with the cosmetics you buy. In case players were unable to unlock the previous season’s content, they can still go back to complete these achievements.

Now, Halo: Master Chief Collection players are now reporting an issue with the game on Xbox consoles. Many say that they are unable to spend their season points when they try to access the Season page.

Although Halo players are able to see their points, whenever they try opening the Season Rewards, they are greeted with a Season 0 or Offline error.

This is really disheartening for those who were eagerly waiting to collect this season’s rewards.

I researched a lot to fix this but I couldn’t find a solution which worked. Ever since I downloaded MCC I can’t play online. It says season 0, offline in the main menu and when I try social matchmaking it says downloading matchmaking data constantly. I tried logging in and out of my xbox account but still won’t work. I also tried running in admin mode, it didn’t make any difference.

On the options and career page the area where you go to spend season points is dimmed and says offline. I’ve tried the profile sign out and back in, restarted game and xbox, nothing seems to fix it. Is anyone else experiencing this?

As it turns out, Halo: Master Chief Collection developers are aware of the issue. They said that the Halo Offline error will be fixed in the Season 8 update.

Some players have reported seeing the Season page in Halo: The Master Chief Collection as “Offline” or “Season 0” on Xbox consoles. A fix for this issue will be included in the next major update with Season 8. Thank you to everyone who submitted tickets on this issue.
