What happens when Batman is dead? That’s exactly what Gotham Knights is all about where the responsibility of protecting Gotham city falls on the shoulder of the Batman Family (Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin).

From solving mysteries to defeating notorious villains in epic confrontations, Gotham Knights players experience many dynamic situations in the game.

However, many Gotham Knights players are dissatisfied with the game’s developers because the Transmog suit customization feature is missing (1,2,3,4,5,6).

In Gotham Knights, players can choose from a total of 28 suits. These are inspired by classic cartoons as well as new ideas on how different characters may appear in Warner Bros.’s interpretation of the Batman universe.

Gotham Knights make a distinction between different suit styles. Firstly there are suits that are customizable and stat changes when a player equips them.

Then there are Transmog suits that are purely cosmetic, can’t be customized, and can only be applied like skins.

This is where the issue arises as the community is upset with Warner Bros. because they want complete customization for Transmog suits.

Hey @GothamKnights let us customize transmogs please. At least at level 30. I wanna wear these suits SO bad but I can’t cause of gear score and I don’t like the base transmog style. #GothamKnights

@GothamKnights would it be possible to customize transmog in the future please? There are amazing options to choose and sadly default transmog not always is my favorite of that style

Ideally, every separate gear piece should have its own customization section so players can mix and match between different suits.

In an interview with IGN regarding suits, the devs have previously expressed their reasons for not giving a customization option for Transmog suits, according to a Redditor:

Each suit style was designed so that the parts work together and don’t clip or anything like that, so they decided not to allow players to put Red Hood’s Beyond Mask on his Knightwatch suit. This way every suit looks cleaner because each piece moves with the set cohesively.

This function was apparently not proved to players to avoid clipping issues, which would have negatively impacted the gameplay experience. However, non-Transmog suits have a full customization option.

So it doesn’t make sense for developers to restrict players to pre-designed skins with locked color schemes and gear pieces for Transmog suits only.

We hope Warner Bros. listens to Gotham Knights players and comes up with a solution that avoids bugs while still allowing them to customize their Transmog suits.
