Several Google Wallet users have lately been facing a problem where they are unable to add pass, tickets, or non-payment cards through 3rd-party apps.

Like any other popular wallet, the Google wallet also has its fair share of bugs and issues.

For instance, we recently highlighted an issue where Google Wallet users were experiencing difficulties adding cards or opening the app on their smart wearables.

And by looking at the reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10), it appears that a new one has surfaced. For more than a month, users have been encountering difficulties adding new tickets and passes to the platform.

As per the claims, each attempt to do so is rejected with an error that appears to shift responsibility onto the pass-issuing authority. On the other hand, a few claim that nothing happens on clicking the ‘add to wallet’ link.

Individuals have noted that the issue pops up only when one tries to add non-payment cards, passes, and tickets through different sources such as apps, web platforms, and even internal QR scans.

In addition to this, people are also unable to see some of the cards, passes, or tickets that they have previously added.

And to their surprise, these miraculously appear after a couple of days, and that too when they are no longer needed.

Impacted users have even shared their feedback with the concerned authorities time and again, but to no avail.

Add to Google wallet doesn’t seem to include a season ticket. It’s not s transport pass or a bank card.

Nevertheless, the troubles of Google Wallet users don’t end here.

Tickets disappearing for some users

Some users (1,2,3,4,5,6,) are also complaining that the added tickets keep disappearing from their wallets.

Some have noticed that the season tickets that were previously accessible have suddenly vanished without a trace. While others have observed that their Gov’t Mule event tickets are no longer available.

One of those impacted says that they cannot find their football season ticket in the Google Wallet even after successfully adding it.

Another asserts that even after re-downloading the boarding passes for different flight segments, they cannot be located.

I have downloaded on two flight segments and on both occasions I cannot find or see the Boarding Passes in Wallet…I also tried downloading Passes but still no luck.

The common troubleshooting measures like clearing the Google Play Services data and cache and uninstalling and reinstalling the Google Wallet app were tried by many, but without any success.

It’s noteworthy that experimenting with different APK versions and Play Store updates had the same result as well.

No official response

Notably, the issue has already been assigned to one of Google’s officials. But until now, there has been no response.
