The Google Pixel Fold not only stands as one of Google’s most expensive smartphones but has also emerged as the most high-maintenance device in the smartphone market. If inadvertently damaged in the UK, repairing this device can cost you a fortune.

Not only have smartphones become expensive, but their repair costs have skyrocketed as well. One of the main reasons for the increase in repair costs is the advanced technologies used in the new generation of phones. Likewise, the Google Pixel Fold also comes with costly hardware parts that make it the most expensive phone to repair.

According to Get Phone Repair, if you accidentally damage the Pixel Fold’s screen in the UK, then the replacement will cost you EUR 1,048 ($1,148). This is more than the cost of a brand-new Pixel 8 Pro.

Furthermore, a new battery installation demands an additional EUR 129 ($141). Combining both, the total repair cost for the screen and battery amounts to a whopping EUR 1,177 ($1,289). And this total cost doesn’t even include rear camera repair. Given this eye-watering expense, it’s essential to handle your Pixel Fold with extreme care.

Comparatively, Samsung’s Galaxy Fold 4 presents a more affordable repair solution, including rear camera repairs. The difference in repair cost between the Pixel Fold and Galaxy Fold 4 becomes even more significant if you exclude the rear camera repairs.

Moreover, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold, Fold 3, and Fold 2 are also ranked among the expensive smartphones to repair. Additionally, Apple’s iPhone 15 Pro Max lands on the list with an overall repair cost of EUR 753 ($825). Furthermore, Samsung’s Flip phones and Galaxy S21 Ultra also hold positions in the list of priciest devices to repair.
