Call Screen on Pixel phones is a handy feature that manages incoming calls on your behalf and provides options to handle them effectively. Unfortunately, the availability of this feature is limited to specific regions and languages as of now. However, recent findings indicate that Call Screen support might soon be expanding to more countries, along with support for new languages such as Hindi, Español, Italiano, and more.

A user on Reddit has shared that they were able to get the Call Screen feature working in India on their rooted OnePlus 7 device, running the AOSPA 14 Custom ROM. They enabled the call screening flags using the GappsMod Magisk Module from GitHub. Additionally, they found that it also supports the Hindi language by downloading the necessary language packages.

Call Screen feature could be coming to these countries

Experimenting further, the user discovered multiple packages for new languages that are not officially supported yet. This discovery also hints towards the availability of the feature in numerous countries beyond India. The following countries and languages might soon get access to the Call Screen feature:

  • Deutsch – Belgium, Austria, Switzerland
  • Espanol – USA
  • France – Belgium, Switzerland
  • Italiano – Switzerland and Italy
  • Portuguese – Brazil
  • English and Hindi – India

While Google hasn’t officially announced the expansion of this feature yet, the recent experiment hints that it might be expanded to new countries soon with support for more languages. Since there isn’t an official confirmation on this yet, we recommend our readers to be skeptical about this information.
